About Us

Beth and I were married on February 26th of 1994 and were blessed with our daughter on June 9th of 1998.  We were both raised in Virginia and live in the Southeastern Tidewater Region of Hampton Roads.  Our extended family live very close and have been a source of wisdom and refuge when times are really difficult.  We cannot say enough about our church family, whom has been an especially strong rock of prayer and support as they pray with us every Monday evening to corporately plead with Christ for healing, not only for our daughter, but all our loved ones, our church, and our country.

God has put us where we are for a purpose; His purpose.  In the Gospel of Luke Chapter 12 versus 22 through 34, we read of Jesus teaching His disciples about worry.

22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life[b]? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Beth and I are no different from any other person dealing with the stresses of career, family, financies, and fear except for one thing; Jesus will carry us through these challenging times with our daughter.  Our prayer is that through our posting this journey with PANDAS that we can somehow bless others lives by knowing that you are not alone in your struggle.  We see and hear from you every day and pray each night that Christ will intervene and heal each child of this crippling immunological disorder.  There's hope for our children as there is a growing awareness among the medical industry as more and more physicians, institutions, assocations, and healthcare workers are seeing the scientific evidence of this disorder and are challenging there assumptions about the manifestations of this disorder and many others.

Post a comment about any of our postings, email us your story, contact us on facebook, but whatever you do, reach out to those that love you; your family, your church, your neighbor, and most importantly your Savior and talk to others about this disorder.  We are in the awareness stage of this struggle, so talk openly about it, educate your child's teachers about it, help them know the signs of a child that may have this disorder, and most importantly give them the tools to work with a child like this.

God Bless each of you and, as Jabez prayed, so must we pray:

10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
